Shur-Fit Products Aluminum Hump Back Elbow Covers are made in two matching halves, and are available in 4” to 9 5/8” to fit 63 combination pipe sizes to cover and weatherproof insulated 90° elbows. Shur-Fit Products Ltd. Aluminum Hump Back Elbows Covers are manufactured in house using 1100 aluminum alloy in .024” thickness.
Humped Back Elbows are required in cases where either Socket Weld or Schedule 80 elbows are insulated. In these cases the insulation requires a severe hump in the heel to ensure an adequate amount of insulation is covering the elbow so the integrity of the system won’t fail. The Humped Back degree elbows can also be used in place of standard short radius elbows in most cases.
