The Shur-Fit Products Ltd. Galvanized Shield is a single piece of Steel bent to make an 180º arc. These shields are perfect for protecting insulation from being bent or crushed by hangers. Our shields are manufactured with centering ribs, which help to prevent the shield from shifting or falling off. Made in 8” length for optimum weight and handling. Each shield is individually labeled with size, and outside diameter for quick identification. All of Shur-Fit Products Ltd. Galvanized Shields are available in 20-26 gauge thicknesses depending on size. All shields are made in galvanized steel.

All Shur-Fit Products Ltd. Galvanized Shields are designed for use with medium and low compressive strength pipe insulations. Galvanized Shields are designed to be used with vapor retarder type insulations such as fiberglass, urethane, polyisocyanurate, rubber and polyethylene tubing. They are ideal for use on plumbing, heating, chilled water and refrigeration piping, with temperatures ranging from –120º F to +500º F.
