DESCRIPTION

Traditionally, metals have certain characteristic physical properties: they are shiny, have a high density, are ductile and malleable, have a high melting point, are hard, and conduct electricity and heat well.

APPLICATION

Aluminum systems are most suitable for industrial conditions existing in refineries, pulp & paper, power plants, chemical plants, etc. Stainless steel is recommended where chemical spillage and corrosive attacks are a concern.

Shur-Fit uses metal to fabricate pipe, fitting, valve and tank head covers to protect the insulation and vapor barriers from physical damage. Shur-Fit also fabricates Superior Shields to support the pipe insulation.

FABRICATION

Metal is fabricated using various tools and dyes. The techniques used include cutting, boring, beading and crimping.

Shur-Fit uses many different types of metals; these include aluminum, stainless and galvanized steel. There are also different types of finishes such as brushed, stucco-embossed or smooth.

ADVANTAGES
