ABOUT US
In 1982, Harvey Webb founded Shur-Fit Products Ltd. as a supplier of rigid polyisocyanurate board stock and fabricator of polyisocyanurate pipe insulation as well as various fiberglass products.
Shur-Fit has always lead the industry and provide the parts needed to meet strict and specific engineering specifications. Shur-Fit Products Ltd. owned and operated the very first Bunting Fitting Machine in Western Canada. This allowed Shur-Fit to provide the specific manufactured glass fittings engineers required.
Over the years, engineering specifications have changed and metal insulation fittings are required to ensure longevity and proper insulation for outdoor piping systems. To meet these demands, Shur-fit Products Ltd. has developed Aluminum Victaulic© Fittings for all outdoor applications providing innovative solutions while creating a new industry standard.
ENVIRONMENT
Shur-Fit Products is a socially responsible company that is continuously working to keep the environment fit for future generations by supplying quality products that support energy conservation. We actively work with industry associations, engineers, governments and other stakeholders to establish standards in the industry that develop innovative solutions that maximize energy efficiency. Besides providing high quality pipe insulation and related products to help reduce energy, Shur-Fit Products also actively recycles construction materials to reduce waste.
THE IMPORTANCE OF PIPE INSULATION
Pipe Insulation has been a seriously under-utilized, but proven technology solution that can save energy, reduce fuel costs and a facilities impact on the environment. The role of insulation in energy efficiency and environmental preservation is clear. Every time a system is insulated it improves the energy efficiency of a facility and reduces the level of emissions of greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere. From an economical point of view, thermal insulation simply makes good business sense. A properly selected, specified and installed thermal insulation system will, in all cases, provide an excellent return on investment through cost savings.
